Does Canada have anti-spam laws?
Q. I looked around and found a couple links to government websites but they didn't seem to say anything specific. I was wondering if Canada has anti-spam laws for all the annoying advertisements I see people posting at YouTube comments or in my e-mail. And what about all those bots in chat? Isn't that spam?

A. Spam is unwanted and unsolicited email, not bots and ads in YouTube. Yes, Canada does have anti-spam laws. If you have a PDF reader, you can read more about it. If you don't, get Foxit Reader.

A. I don't necessarily know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to let you know that it's kind of difficult to understand your question...so I'll take a stab at it. I think that you are essentially asking for a way for people to 'unsuscribe' from an email newsletter that you will be sending out, correct? I think the anti-spam laws must begin with the way you got their email address in the first place. Did these people give them to you and agree to receive mail from you? If not, then you can't use their address. If they did give you their address, then you should put a line at the bottom of the email (something like: You have received this email because you signed up to receive the XYZ email blast. If you wish to unsuscribe,… [cont.]

"At least we can get Congress to pass a Federal anti-spam law. Fathers shouldn t hold their breath waiting any time soon for a national keep fathers involved in the lives of their children law" doubtfire: at this moment a law is keeping many Single Fathers out of there children's life zzz - oh boy how about you have have a sex change then I'll have sex change then I'll beat you over the head then when you defend you're self YOU will be in… [cont.]

Is Yahoo email spam filter anti-Christian?
Q. Since changing from Tesco to Yahoo for my email I requested the resumption of a regular bulletin from the Lawyers Christian Fellowship on issues involving new laws that were being passed by the UK Government that go right against christian ethics. The first time it arrived as junk. I told the server that it was not junk. About a week later i got anoth one from the same organisation. It also went into the junk mail section. This never happened on Tesco's email service. Why is yahoo so biased against Christians? If this a Leftist Atheistic conspiracy within Yahoo I hope this question doesn't get scrubbed off before anyone can read it. Tony

A. I would put them in Address Book AND Click the not spam button when you find your messages in Spam. I send myself a message and found it in the Trash. Then I put myself in Address Book and got it in Inbox that time. I also found Yahoo Groups messages in Spam. So it is every bodys messages for some reason.

Can I sue Google for discrimination and exclusion?
Q. I am partially sighted and find it hard to read text on computer screens. When I ty to sign up for a google account or do anything security related it presents a Captcha with the muddled up words on them I can't read these. Some companies make ones that are easier to read but the ones Google uses are completely obscure. The 'Accessibility' option plays a track which is garbled and inaudible, no-one I have asked has been able to make out the audio alternative. I only have a Google Account because someone else set it up for me. I, along with anyone else with even mild disabilities are being excluded from the use of this technology. More and more companies are using these anti spam features and I understand they want to prevent spam… [cont.]

A. Hello I would be potentially pointless to sue Google, mainly for the fact that they are huge with very deep pockets - you presumably aren't! However, I think you might find a friend in the Law in the form of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. In essence, the Act requires companies to make their publicly available websites accessible to those with visual impairments. Now, Google may argue 1 - they're not a UK company and so this doesn't apply to them but they have Google.co.uk which is a UK domain and so comes under UK law and 2 - by providing the audio track option they are fulfilling the requirement. Well, maybe, but surely the act would require the audio option to be legible as otherwise it would be pointless? Another option… [cont.]

If Christians formed their own nation, would it end up like the radical Islamic nations, or not?
Q. Just wondering... Most Christians I see here (should that include yourself or not) have a very strong disposition to atheists and generally non-Christian peoples occupying the current country that they are living in, especially in the United States where the populace majority is Christian. Many Christians with this viewpoint tend to treat those mentioned in a similar way that the current Islamic nations would with their radical anti-non-Muslim laws and regulations...which include: *a unified urge for getting rid of all undesirable peoples from the country *refusal to granting all undesirable people the rights that the desired locals have *punishing undesirable people for crimes that you are suspecting them of going to do *generally biased… [cont.]

A. You only have to look at the Middle Ages to see how Christians behaved to tell how their "nation" would be. Inquisitions, torture, etc were the norm in ALL the "Christian" Kingdoms. Tolerance and understanding were frowned upon while conformity was rewarded. In other words convert or die was the rule not the exception. From a purely cultural standpoint spreading Christianity was one of the worst things the explorers did. It was like a Cultural Revolution (China) where other belief systems were eradicated--often the histories of peoples went with them--that's where it's unfortunate. History may/might repeat itself though I don't necessarily believe that HRE (Holy Roman Empire {last "united" Christian Nation--though made up of various… [cont.]
