How come neighbors of Nichole Brown Simpson didn t see or even hear the murders?
Q. I was looking at some pictures where nichole brown simpson lived and it seems very strange that the neighbors didn t hear or see anything the night of the murders. I have driven on bundy drive many times, and I always see people jogging or passing by in front of nichole s condo. Can anyone explain why her next door neighbors didn t see or at least hear the victims crying for help?

A. That assumes there was much to hear, and anyone was home next door. From what I recall, Nicole was murdered with one clean, deep slice across her neck, dying almost immediately. It's not clear if Ron was able to utter much either. A struggle isn't always noisy if the victim is fighting for life.

A. The first episode was actually a special and not the regular series. They used it as a kind of test market to see if the show would get a positive feedback since there hadn't been a prime time cartoon show since the Flintstones.

Can simpson cc66 replace a simpson pc66 w/bracing?
Q. Hello - I just had an engineer draw up plans for my patio cover/deck and he calls out the use of simpson pc66 on 6x6 posts with 6x knee bracing. The bracing will really kill the trim work I have planned for it. So, can the PC66 hardware be replaced with CC66 hardware to eliminate the need for the bracing? (Of course, I'd have to ask the engineer to redraw using that hardware, just wanted to know if it's possible.) I've asked him if we can eliminate the bracing, but he said not without using steel posts. I get the feeling the engineer just wanted to get the work done quickly and doesn't want to calculate the values with the new hardware. This is a SoCal property so earthquake codes must be met. A. The problem you're going to run into is that the CC66 has not been tested for lateral loads (loads in the direction parallel to the beam), but the PC66 has. If I understand your design, the knee bracing would act to carry some component of the lateral load. The knee bracing may then have to be increased if you use the CC66 so that all the lateral load is carried by the knee bracing. You may want to ask the engineer about using two LCE4 braces per post and eliminate the knee bracing since they are rated for higher lift and lateral loads than the PC66.
